Welcome to the web site of European Pride The source of all wisdom is our wonderful Nature! Nature symbolises the powerful essence of life; the physical and spiritual strength of the sun gives life to everything on our beautiful Earth. We are a part of nature and her origin the sun - the symbol of the essence of life. We derive our infinite strength from their magical form and source. Whoever lives in harmony with nature, will reward themselves with self-awareness, knowledge, wisdom, health, strength and luck. Dark teachings have contaminated the thoughts of people in our modern world. Religions do not speak of the wonderful power of nature any more. They fear its wisdom, because to sip from this nectar of life is enough to free the religious believer from the chains that bind them. We invite you to bask in the immeasurable wisdom of nature! Culture in all its diversity
There are many faces to our culture.
Exhibitions, galleries, museums, churches and cultural centres are waiting for you everywhere with their programmes. All kinds of concerts take place throughout the year. The minor arts are performed on many stages, and exhibits as well as various other activities find their admirers.
Of course you too can become active and creative. Many courses are being offered here. Just enquire about what's on offer with the respective spa authorities, associations or tourist information centres. They will also give you information about the numerous architectural monuments in our landscape. Most of them are from the era of brick Gothic architecture.
An eventful day is best ended over fine food and good wine. Our chefs use the best the region has to offer every day: fish fresh from the catch, fresh vegetables and venison from our woods. Start of page... Home

55. Carpathian German Homepage
History, culture and current doings of Carpathian GermansGermans from Slovakiain Slovakia, germany, Austria and the United States
http://ourworld.cs.com/ycrtmr
The Carpathian Germans were a small German people living in the territory of today's Slovakia from the 12th century to 1945, when they suffered genocide. The United Nations in 1948 condemned as genocide any attempt " to destroy in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group as such "in its homeland by murder or deportation, and is currently judging political and military leaders who ordered and supervized such actions in the past round of Balkan wars. Such a destruction was also committed against the Carpathian German people in 1945-1947. This is the history, and the current doings, of the people I come from. This page is provided as a private volunteer public service. It does not represent the official opinions of the Carpathian German Landsmannschaft, but only my own. Nowhere is the federal structure of the Federal Republic more evident than in the cultural sphere. Germany has never had a cultural metropolis comparable to Paris in France or London in England. The considerable cultural autonomy of the states has led to the formation of large and small cultural centers with different profiles. Cultural and scholarly activity is to be found even in small towns and communities. The German Arts Council. The German Arts Council (GAC) was founded in 1982, as a non-governmental, working commission of organizations and institutions with national significance in the field of cultural and media policy. As of September 1995, the German Arts Council is registered as a non-profit association. The German Arts Council is the umbrella organization of the federal arts associations.
