In the 1994 election, the people chose to retain an elected Board of Education, therefore the operation of the public school system will continue to be overseen by the Board, with day-to-day administration left to the Superintendent of Education who is appointed by the Board. The Legislature, in response to the people's choice will be convening an interim Commission to review how the Board of Education can be reconfigured to ensure equal representation of the entire populace, similar to the Reapportionment commission that reviews other elected offices every ten years (H.B.1626. We realize that to enroll in a university could be one of the most major life decisions of any individual. You have read all the information on AUH, but you still have some questions that need a direct and straight answer to help you make up your mind. Following are some of the questions posed by our enrollees over the past five years, and the best and most precise answers that we could give them: Q: What is a Global University? A: The concept of a global university is new to the world. We are used to seeing a large complex of buildings in some part of a major city with a large sign over the threshold, which pronounces “ University of XYZ”. We find that buildings have classrooms, laboratories, and libraries housed in them.
