    G U I D E L I N E S
    Minimum bid on any lot is $10 or 40% of Estimated Value (EV), whichever is greater. Successful bids under EV will not be reduced, whereas bids over the EV will be reduced to the EV or one advance over the next highest bid, whichever is greater. Bids must be in whole dollars and cannot be "Buy Bids" i.e. "better all other bids to acquire this item." Successful bidders will be invoiced within five business days. Payment must be received within ten (10) days and although personal checks are acceptable, they must clear the bank first and will delay shipment by two weeks. After ten days, a late payment fee of $25 will be assessed unless prior arrangements are made due to extenuating circumstances. Likewise, there is a returned check charge of $20 and, should it not be made good, bidder is no longer allowed to participate in future auctions. Payments may be by check or money orders (payable to "Miles of History") and VISA or MASTERCARD. Auction reserves right to withdraw any lot prior to sale closing and to resell any merchandise not paid for by a successful bidder. Auction may also, at its discretion, reject any bids from individuals that have failed to make prior payments in a timely fashion. Some lots do have reserves and should those minimums not be met, the items will either be carried over to a future auction or returned to the consignor.

    of John Tyler...
    the tenth President of the United States. Not only is this a presidential piano, but it's also the earliest Timothy Gilbert piano known to exist, and made about 1830. On display is the only Confederate Florida Flag known to exist, bearing the state seal. It belonged to the 8th Florida Infantry, C.S.A., and was taken at Fredricksburg, Virginia in December, 1862.
    Click image for large, color view There are various weapons, from the beautiful inlaid .80 caliber Bavarian wheelock, dating to the 1500's, through the Indian War period, to the 1890's. On exhibit is one of the finest Civil War collections you will see anywhere. While we put emphasis on the Civil War, we want to make it clear that the display is not just weapons, but rather a harmonious blend of historically significant items, and a vivid portrayal of Americana.
