    • this world and this life are all we have (corollary: there is no God, or supernatural Divinity),
    • we should try to live full and happy lives, and, as part of this, make it easier for other people to do the same.
    • all situations and people deserve to be judged on their merits by standards of reason and humanity.
    • individuality is important, but social co-operation and the acceptance of human emotions are equally important.
  • Advertisements for goods, publications, and services, as well as announcements of events, directly relevant to Humanism in the UK are permitted, provided they are of fifty lines or fewer and posted no more than once every month. The subject line should begin " ADVERT:  ", or " ANNOUNCEMENT:  " (as appropriate). All other advertising is forbidden.
  • Encoded binaries (e.g. pictures, compressed files, etc.) are forbidden. Such material belongs on a web or FTP site to which a pointer may be posted. Cryptographic signatures (e.g. PGP) may be used where authentication is important and should be as short as possible.

    The Text of Integral Humanism
    Chapter 1, Part 1
Apart from these, the Congress and other political parties adopted various resolutions from time to time which contain references to this subject. However the subject requires much more serious study than was devoted to it at that time. It did not attract serious attention at that time because every one believed it was more important to think of ways to drive out the British and the other things could be discussed later on. It did not seem right to waste time in internal discussions while the foreign rule continued. Hence even if there might have been difference in views, they were shelved for the time being. Having attained. Independence, the question naturally ought to have occurred to us, "Now that we independent, what shall be the direction of our progress?". But is amazing that serious thought has not been to this question and today even after seventeen years independence we cannot say that a definite direction been decided upon.

    Socialist System Is A Reaction
    State's Claims on Individual
There is no private property in a socialist society. This removes the problems attendants to the institution of private property. However. the incentive for production and conservation of resources and economy in utilization accompany the institution of private property. There has been no alternative arrangement to preserve these. The State is made supreme and sole authority in all matters. Individual citizen is reduced to mere cog in this giant wheel. There is no provisions to inspire the individual to fulfill his role. As Djilas states, the class of old fashioned exploiters has been eliminated, but a new class of bureaucratic exploiter has come into existence. Karl Marx put forward, in his analysis of history, that capitalism contains the seeds of its own destruction. and that communism is a natural and inevitable successor to capitalism. We want neither capitalism nor socialism. We aim at the progress and happiness of "Man", the Integral Man.

Revealing Humanism - Today's Philosophy vs Christ and His Word
What is Humanism? H umanism is a philosophy centring upon distinctively human interests and ideals. It is an insidious revolt against God and the inflexible principles and guidelines of His Word.
      • It denies the reality of a personal God, the inspiration of the Bible, and the deity of Christ.
      • It denies the Bible account of creation and teaches evolution.
      • It denies moral values and teaches that there are no absolutes - no right or wrong. Do your own thing "as long as it does not harm anyone else."
      • It denies the distinctive roles of male and female.
      • It believes in sexual freedom between consenting individuals regardless of age, including premarital sex, homosexuality, and incest.
      • It believes in the right to abortion.
      • It believes in the removal of national patriotism, the free enterprise system, disarmament, and the creation of a one-world socialistic government.

    79. The Philosophy Behind Zambia's Flag
The philosophy Behind Zambia's Flag. humanism is the national philosophyof Zambia. Hence Zambian humanism is a State philosophy.
    http://www.sas.upenn.edu/African_Studies/Country_Specific/Zamphil.html
    The Philosophy Behind Zambia's Flag
HUMANISM is the national philosophy of Zambia. It is the basis of all the policies and programs of the Party and Government. All the development effort in Zambia is based on Humanism It is a way which emphasizes the importance of MAN as the center of all activity. Zambian Humanism provides the moral basis for all human activity in the country whether it be political, economical or social. The philosophy is the SOCIAL CEMENT that holds together and inspires the young and varied nation that is Zambia. Zambian Humanism is not like that shirt or that dress or that dress that we wear for special occasions. NO. Humanism is our dress for all occasions. It is like the skin we wear on our bodies. It is our way of life for all time. To understand what Humanism is about, we must first understand the political background against which it was declared as Zambia's national philosophy. The forces which brought the people of Zambia together to fight independence were a direct result of years of colonial oppressiona system of government which denied Zambians all rights and privileges of MAN. To change this unbearable situation the people of Zambia, then known as Northern Rhodesia, formed the United National Independence PartyZANC and later the United National Independence PartyUNIPto spearhead our fight for freedom. We wanted to be free to guide and control our own affairs in our own land.
