The different engineering disciplines are explained by Tau Beta Pi, the student engineering honorary society. World-wide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) This international program headquartered at the University of Illinois offers the annual Academic Challenge competition, a summer camp, and other programs. Women in Engineering (WIE) WIE sponsors programs in the schools and the GAMES summer camp especially for middle-schoolers. Physics Van Staffed by physics students, the award-winning Physics Van takes science and engineering on the road into classrooms throughout the Midwest. Engineering Open House Engineering students plan exhibits, design contests, and other events to show the public what engineers do, how engineering plays a role in everyday life, and how engineering will shape the future.
