Within the hours required for graduation each student completes a program of 51 hours of general education. Note, however, that the university faculty has approved a plan for revising the general education component that will be implemented in stages over the next three years. Students must work closely with their advisors to assure that they are applying the proper catalog year to their program.

The Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) was established by LB 150 in 1997. In the spring of 1998 a site two miles north of Tecumseh, Nebraska on Highway 50 was selected for the institution and ground was broken in December of the same year. Hiring of initial staff commenced in late spring 2000. TSCI began accepting inmates in December 2001. All inmates at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution are males adjudicated as adults and classified as medium or maximum custody. (Approximately 30 Minimum Custody inmates are housed at TSCI for outside grounds, administration building and warehouse jobs.) The institution has a design capacity for 960 inmates, which includes 768 general population beds and a 192-bed special management unit for Administrative Segregation, Disciplinary Segregation and Intensive Management inmates. Death Row inmates will be housed at TSCI but the death penalty will continue to be administered at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln, Nebraska. TSCI uses a Unit Management concept designed to improve control and staff/inmate relationships by dividing the larger institution population into smaller, more manageable groups and to improve and personalize the delivery of rehabilitative services.

Marketing Strategies for Soybean Farmers General Results
The following conclusions can be drawn from the results of this study:
  • Timing of sales was the most important factor in improving price.
  • Pre-harvest sales were more profitable than post-harvest sales.
  • The gross results were improved when pre-harvest sales were timed for delivery in January rather than November. However, it was not enough to offset the costs of storing.
  • Premiums make option strategies less profitable than futures hedges in general. Some options spread strategies compare favorably to futures hedges.
  • Sales made during a weather scare in the summer generally produced the highest price of the year.
  • In years when there was a rally caused by the possibility of an early, killing frost, sales made in the middle of September were considerably higher than those made after harvest begins.

must also address the student's needs and provide baseline information so the IEPTeam knows how the student is functioning in the general education curriculum
    http://www.nde.state.ne.us/SPED/iepproj/develop/dindex.html
It is critical in the development of the IEP that the student's strengths are aligned with the needs of the student and the concerns of the parents. If a concern of the parents or a need of the student is identified, then the strength of the student can be built upon to address the need. The evaluation information must also address the student's needs and provide baseline information so the IEP Team knows how the student is functioning in the general education curriculum. The IEP Team must develop goals with major milestones or short-term objectives and a progress monitoring system that demonstrates whether the goals are being achieved. The special education and related services, supplementary aids and services, and the accommodations and modifications must reflect the student's needs in order to ensure he or she receives educational benefit. All of these pieces fit together like a puzzle if any one piece is missing the IEP Team will have an incomplete picture of a student's educational program. When all of the pieces are put together, the complete picture will assist the student to progress in the general education curriculum and will meet his or her individual needs.
