Home Quotes: God gave our first parents the food He designed that the race should eat. It was contrary to His plan to have the life of any creature taken. There was to be no death in Eden. The fruit of the trees in the garden was the food man's wants required. (1864) The diet of animals is vegetables and grains. Must the vegetables be animalized, must they be incorporated into the system of animals, before we get them? Must we obtain our vegetable diet by eating the flesh of dead creatures? God provided fruit in its natural state for our first parents. He gave to Adam charge over the garden, to dress it, and to care for it, saying, "To you it shall be for meat." One animal was not to destroy another animal for food. - (1896) Let our ministers and canvassers step under the banners of strict temperance. Never be ashamed to say, "No thank you; I do not eat meat. I have conscientious scruples against eating the flesh of dead animals. - 1901 Flesh was never the best food; but its use is now doubly objectionable, since disease in animals is so rapidly increasing. - 1902

- This link will take you to the theological part of the site, defending the music itself (Christian rock) directly from Scripture. Although a lot of this site is specific to Seventh Day Adventists, this chapter can apply to and be used by all denominations as a reference and a study guide. Other musical styles and instruments themselves are defended below. More will always be added. Chapter 2 - My personal testimony of how God brought me through secular music, alcohol, depression, and the part Christian rock played in all of that. Chapter 3 - Here is a true and ongoing account concerning worship and praise music (hymns etc.) in a church setting. This is a true story and there has been some debate regarding the necessity of this kind of information. However, due to the nature of the situation I believe it can be very helpful to those out there who feel they are alone and that nobody can relate to their situation and/or maybe they are even starting to question their own God given talents as being scripturally sound. That is why I find that the internet is such a great tool and a resource for some of life's most difficult questions because it obliterates the boundaries of communication and distance. I have made NO attempt to name names or the church name, or even church titles for that matter. I do have a forum for this as well as any information on the whole site and welcome any corrections or maybe even their account of the situation. I am rewriting the whole situation keeping this text in mind

SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS
By Gerald L. Caldwell
Founder, Editor, Bible Believer's Ministries , Miami, FL USA (305) 372-9790 radical@iname.com
This study will be on the 7th Day Adventist. This cult began in the early 19th century by William Miller (1782-1849), who was a FALSE PROPHET! He predicted that the Lord Jesus Christ would return to Earth in glory on Mar. 21, 1844, and later on Oct. 22, 1844! Neither prophecy was fulfilled! Deuteronomy 18:20-22 "But the PROPHET, which shall presume to speak A WORD in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall WE KNOW the word which the LORD HATH NOT SPOKEN? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if THE THING follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD HATH NOT SPOKEN, but the prophet hath spoken it PRESUMPTUOUSLY: thou shalt not be afraid of him." The FALSE PROPHET is identified by speaking "A WORD" that does not come to pass. It does not matter how many times he's correct, it's how many times he's WRONG! Just ONE error is sufficient to make one a false prophet, regardless of whether he was correct 3000 times. When prophesying, the prophet is to bat nothing short of a 1.000. In other words, his prophesying MUST be accurate EVERY timenot 99.9% of the time. Therefore, William Miller was undoubtedly a FALSE PROPHET! Isaiah 8:20 "To the LAW and to the TESTIMONY: if they SPEAK NOT according to THIS WORD, it is because there is NO LIGHT in them."

THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
Mainly growing in New England, the Seventh-day Adventists became an official organization in 1863, with the name Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) chosen prior in 1860. Beginning strictly in North America, the Seventh-day Adventist Church quickly grew and soon its Ministries were reaching across the globe into Switzerland, India, Africa, China, the Pacific Islands, and Europe to name a few. With an initial membership of approximately 3,500, today the Seventh-day Adventist Church boasts over 8 million members worldwide. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is considered one of the fastest growing movements in the Christian world with 1 new member being baptized every 50 seconds. Another reason for the success of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is that it is organized in such a way that the individual is the controlling power. The power lies in the church membership with responsibilities given to an executive body. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is organized on four levels: 1. The local church.

The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
Q. Is the Seventh-Day Adventist church generally to be regarded as a Christian denomination? How do their beliefs differ from those of the Missouri Synod? Seventh-day Adventism teaches the doctrine of the Trinity and that salvation is through the saving work of Jesus Christ. We would, therefore, regard this denomination as a Christian church body. However, we in The Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod would regard it as a heterodox church body, that is, as a church whose teaching is in error at certain points. Perhaps a few examples from a recent summary of the Seventh-Day Adventist doctrines prepared by Adventist theologians will illustrate this point. In this statement Baptism is described merely as "a symbol of our union with Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, and our reception of the Holy Spirit." We would reject this as contrary to Scriptural teaching that Baptism is a means of grace, a means through which God actually works to save. Similarly, the bread and wine of the Lord's Supper are described merely as "emblems of the body and blood of Jesus as an expression of faith in Him, our Lord and Savior"which conflicts with clear scriptural teaching that the true body and blood of Christ are given "in, with, and under" the elements of bread and wine in the sacrament. Thirdly, Seventh-day Adventism regards worship on Saturday as a divine mandate. Our church teaches on the basis of the Scriptures that the day on which Christians may choose to worship lies in the area of Christian liberty (even while early Christians chose to worship on Sunday in memory of Christ's resurrection).

The crisis that exists within SDA today essentially centers around the investigative judgment, an unbiblical doctrine which severely compromises if not outright denies the biblical doctrine of justification by faith. Second only to the investigative judgment issue is the all-encompassing question of the inspiration and authority of the writings of Ellen G. white. The controversy which has raged regarding the writings of Mrs. White has undoubtedly shaken the entire structure of SDA.
