Fundamental beliefs summary from SDAnet.Category Society Religion and Spirituality......Through the years seventhday adventists have been reluctant to formalize acreed (in the usual sense of that word). seventh-day adventists Believe.
http://www.sdanet.org/funb.html
Through the years Seventh-day Adventists have been reluctant to formalize a creed (in the usual sense of that word). However from time to time, for practical purposes, we have found it necessary to summarize our beliefs. This summary dates from 1980, and is taken from the book "Seventh-day Adventists Believe", Review + Herald Publishing Assn., c 1988.
Seventh-day Adventists Believe
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all- powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation. God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and the Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writers of Scripture. He filled Christ's life with power. He draws and convicts human beings; and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. Sent by the Father and the Son to be always with His children, He extends spiritual gifts to the church, empowers it to bear witness to Christ, and in harmony with the Scriptures leads it into all truth.

A newly established major educational endowment is helping support K-12 education as we enter the 21st century. Forty pastors committed themselves to the "Journey" project that helps them be rejuvenated spiritually and to better relate to the next generation. You need not identify as 'gay' or 'lesbian' to feel at home here. If you know what it is like to be more strongly attracted to your own gender than the opposite gender, you will find support and encouragement here. Check out What Would Jesus Say to Homosexuals? by Adventist pastor John McLarty, as well as Adventist Ministry magazine articles from several years ago. Former Insight editor Christopher Blake wrote a thoughtful article about "Redeeming Our Sad Gay Situation" years ago, and we have received permission to re-publish it here Our members may be single or married. They may have never acted on their attraction to their own gender, or they may have spent more than 30 years immersed in the gay culture of one of our big cities. What binds us together is our common goal to make Christ first in our lives. If that is your desire as well, you will find support and understanding in our Email Community We look forward with joyful anticipation to the soon return of our Lord and Savior, who said, "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14: 3) We are also mindful that it is our privilege not only to look for, but to hasten the coming of the Lord. (2 Peter 3: 12) To this end, we long to see fulfilled the prophetic vision of Ellen White who wrote that "The last rays of merciful light, the last message of mercy to be given to the world, is a revelation of His character of love. The children of God are to manifest His glory. In their own life and character they are to reveal what the grace of God has done for them." (
