What are my rights as a gay, lesbian, or bisexual teenager? Why should I wear a condom? Source: Cover It! by Justin Case www.teenwire.com Although "Why should I wear a condom?" is a very simple question, it's a deep one that needs to be addressed. But the answer may not be as plain as day. I made a list of reasons that just might contain a few that didn't cross your mind. First, there's the obvious, like protection from sexually transmitted infections. No infection means no itching, burning, rash, or worse from parasites, bacteria, or viruses. And don't forget — infections won't just go away. Some infections, like herpes and HIV, may stay with you for life. Think about how uncomfortable you would feel telling a new partner up front that you are infected with something you got previously by not wearing a condom.
