A LANDMARK PUBLISHING PROJECT FROM GENESIS - THREE YEARS IN THE MAKING
MOONAGE DAYDREAM
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF ZIGGY STARDUST
THE SIGNED LIMITED EDITION BOOK BY DAVID BOWIE AND MICK ROCK
'The unspeakably lavish book contains 14 paper stocks, weighs eight pounds and costs a whopping $465 but it's easy to understand why... Wondrous artifacts can result when money is no object... The book combines 500 eye-popping photos by lens man Mick Rock... along with 10,000 words of text from the man himself [David Bowie].' Time Out, New York, February 2003
'An extravagant coffee-table book that collects Mick Rock's photographs of the chameleon rock star as Ziggy Stardust ... there is more than enough for both the casual Bowie fan and the obsessive.' The Observer, January 12th, 2003
'Another limited edition masterpiece from England's Genesis Publications draws from 6,000 images shot by Rock during Ziggy's 18-month reign on earth. it also features a 15,000-word text by Bowie, who's hardly ever gone on record, certainly not at such length and with so much detail, about Ziggy and the glam era.' The Washington Post
'This is a book of extraordinary photographs. Ziggy Stardust blazed briefly but intensely, and I am delighted to see his life and times as a rock'n'roll star immortalised in this beautiful limited edition.'

The Proceedings
The reputation of the Royal Society's "Proceedings" as an International scientific journal is outstanding. The journal has recently broadened its scope in line with the wider interests of the Society's members. The Proceedings of the Royal Society are published twice yearly and are indexed in the Victorian State Library. The Proceedings are supported by an annual grant from the State Government of Victoria. The Society also publishes occasional papers covering, for example, material presented at its symposia and workshops. These discussion papers act to stimulate informed debate on significant current topics. In addition, reference works on aspects of natural history of the State which are of wide general interest, are produced on a regular basis. Other publications include scientific material which would not otherwise be published and scientific material for use in schools. Where appropriate these publications are supported from the "Lynette Young Bequest" on the basis that each publication will be financially self-supporting. The zodarid spider Habronestes bradleyi is a specialist predator of the meat ant Iridomyrmex purpureus . These ants are highly territorial, and will attack and kill any intruder. Nevertheless, the spiders are more abundant in areas where the workers from different nests are engaged in ritualised agonistic interactions. Laboratory experiments using a Y-maze demonstrate that H. bradleyi locates these workers by using their alarm pheromone as a cue. The spiders are attracted to odours elicited by either injured or alarmed I. purpurus
