PC Week’s lab "found recognition accuracy to be in the 95 percent or higher range." (June 2, 1997) Large Vocabulary The large 250,000+ word total vocabulary (160,000 active) recognizes most of the words people use everyday. Add new words quickly with the revolutionary Vocabulary Builder TM . It automatically finds and adds unique words from documents on your hard drive. You can also add new words by saying and spelling them once. Natural Spelling If you ever need to spell a word, just spell it using the names of the letters of the alphabet. With Dragon NaturallySpeaking, "a" means "a" and "b" means "b". You do not need to learn a special name for each letter. Select-and-SayTM Editing and Correction Correct and edit anytime—as you go, or postpone it until later. It's ideal for people who prefer to concentrate on their thoughts, instead of the PC screen as they dictate. Just say "select" followed by the word or phrase you want to change. Then replace the selected text by saying a new word or phrase. You can even adjust the format by saying words like "bold that." It's that simple.

Alanna, Samer, Jake, Catherine, Akif, Deepak, Shee (from visitors' e-mails) GRE Vocabulary Preparation is a free site aimed to improve your vocabulary specifically for the verbal section of the GRE. There are three main sections: GRE General Vocabulary is a free list of the most frequent GRE words with explanations, which I originally compiled for myself. This compilation turned out to be helpful for the visitors of the site as well. Second, there is a section of software programs designed to help you learn new words. The programs are listed with all the necessary details and short descriptions, some of them have been modified specifically for the GRE verbal. Third, "Vocabulary Workout" is an advice of a possible vocabulary preparation routine. Basically all these and other things are what I was using during my own preparation for the GRE verbal section.

News Grammar changes Vocabulary Status quo ... Other Novial Links Novial '98 is an ongoing project to revive and improve (where felt necessary) Novial. Our aim is to leave it as close to Jespersen's original language (as presented in An International Language" and "Novial Lexike" ) as possible, but to fix up some problematic or difficult areas, increase the vocabulary, and ultimately present it to the world as an international auxiliary language. Therefore 1928/30 Novial is taken as our "status quo". Novial '98 es sta-esenti projete at ri-vivifikar e plubonizar (kilok sentit nesesari) Novial. Dunke 1930 Novial bli usar kom nusen "status quo". Our forum for doing this is a mailing list called NOVIAL-REV , maintained by Don Blaheta. Anyone who wishes to join us in our work are welcome. The languages used on the list are English and Novial, but we would especially like input from people whose native language is other than English. If you'd like to subscribe, send mail to
