LARAMIE, Wyo. - On August 31, 2001, the Curtis and Marian Rochelle Athletics Center (RAC) opened its doors. Upon its opening, the RAC ushered in a new era in University of Wyoming Athletics. Thanks to a historic $4.2 million gift from the Rochelles, the largest donation in school history, the new facility began construction in May of 2000. At a total cost of $9.4 million, the facility was entirely paid for by private donations. A total of 167 individuals donated money to the construction. The RAC will serve to meet the academic and athletic needs of all 17 University of Wyoming intercollegiate sports. Containing 46,140 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility houses: a 4,470 square foot academic and counseling center; a 4,829 square foot sports medicine facility; a 5,697 square foot locker room for the Cowboy Football team; and an 8,633 square foot strength and conditioning area. Also featured in the RAC will be display areas for the University of Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame, chronicling the great men and women who have built the legacy of Cowboy and Cowgirl Athletics.

6. Northeastern Athletics General Information
Northeastern Athletics Specific policies and guidelines relating to academic eligibilityfor athletics are distributed in writing to all studentathletes.
http://www.gonu.com/general.html
Northeastern University is an integral part of the New England sports community, fielding 19 varsity teams in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sports as well as other teams and individuals in national and international arenas. The university's teams, nicknamed the Huskies, are also some of the region's most successful. See the bottom of the page for team-specific notes. NU also plays host to some of the biggest collegiate evnts. Northeastern hosted the NCAA field hockey championship at Parsons Field in 1994 and 1999. Northeastern, along with Harvard, will host the 2006 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four at the FleetCenter in Boston. The 2001 Women's Hockey National Championship semifinals and finals were played at Matthews Arena. NU and Matthews Arena will hosted the 2002 America East Men's Basketball Championship and will co-host the 2003 event with Boston University at Walter Brown Arena. Northeastern teams compete as part of the America East Conference, with some exceptions: Football plays in the tough Atlantic 10 Conference, while the men's and women's hockey teams compete in Hockey East, the nation's premier league. There's little question that Northeastern's conferences are also making great strides. In the 1998-99 season, the Atlantic 10 had the I-AA football champion (Massachusetts), Hockey East member Maine won the national title, and America East sent five of its members to NCAA postseason play in basketball. In 2000-01 Boston College, a member of Hockey East, won the NCAA men's hockey national title. In women's hockey, the Huskies formerly played in the ECAC, which provided three of the final four teams both in 1998 and '99 and two of the teams in 2000 and '01. The 2002-03 season brings the inaugural year of women's Hockey East play.

The University of Southern California is proud of its great tradition in intercollegiate athletics. We are committed to achieving at the highest levels on the playing fields and in the classroom, while abiding by all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules. Our athletic program would not be where it is today without the support of loyal alumni and friends like you. Your support is equally important to our compliance effort. As an NCAA member, USC is responsible for the actions of those whom the NCAA considers "representatives of it's athletics interests," traditionally known as boosters. This guide has been developed to provide you with the basic information concerning the NCAA rules, and to answer questions you may have regarding the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and contact with currently enrolled student-athletes. By assisting USC in rules compliance, you are helping preserve the integrity of Trojan Athletics, and protecting the athletic eligibility of our student-athletes. Indeed, if a well-meaning but misguided fan or booster commits a violation, USC will be held responsible, and the consequences can include bans on post-season competition and TV coverage.

Jack Steck Story Posted: 4/2/03 - 12:45 PM CST After finishing 200 points behind first place in 2002, the SMS women’s swimming and diving team claimed the 2003 Missouri Valley Conference crown by over 150 points in only the program’s fifth year of existence. It was a major overhaul for the Bears as they finished third the previous two seasons and fourth the two years before that. SMS was able to dethrone Southern Illinois, who had won the previous five and seven of the last eight Valley titles, by breaking 18 of 19 varsity swimming records. SMS Gains Split With Tulsa

The SMS softball team gained a split from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 2 as it rebounded from a 5-0 loss in game one to win the nightcap, 7-4. The Bears are now 16-16 overall and 5-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The SMS offense was held in check in game one, collecting just four hits, while striking out nine times. Sarah Nemlowill took the loss for the Bears, allowing two earned runs on six hits.
