But three weeks into war with Iraq, a determined enemy employing suicide bombings and feigned surrenders has complicated the mission for U.S. forces. Iraqi tactics raise difficult issues for U.S. military lawyers advising commanders on how to comply with the law of armed conflict while engaging an enemy that appears to violate the most basic rules of war. April 2003 issue President's Corner Accutrac EMS LOS ANGELES-based Accutrac Software Inc. says its new Accutrac e-mail management system, Accutrac EMS, helps professionals classify and manage e-mail records, from their desktop computers. Users can designate e-mail messages as official records and classify them using the same organizational hierarchy as other physical records. Designated messages become part of the complete records repository, combining physical and electronic records management via a single database, says president Kurt Thies. It also captures metadata from the e-mail system and manages attachments. "Accutrac EMS eliminates the need to print out e-mail messages and manually classify them as physical records in the client file, saving the records department time and money," says Thies.
