But, it would seem Parks needs some persuasion. General plans are very serious business: they set framework for management and use of a park in perpetuity. General plans are now underway for Nisene Marks, Big Basin, Portola Redwoods, and Butano State Parks. Serious planning is also underway for Gray Whale Ranch. If you hope that these general plans will protect plants and plant communities for generations to come, now is the time to help pressure Parks to negotiate in good faith with the Sierra Club and Friends of Castle Rock.
